Recently during the last few months I have been attempting slowly to build or create a community website for behalf and upon our local village on the heath and its area. We are not Bexleyheath, Barnehurst, Belvedere, Erith, Slade Green, Thamesmead or even London. Some even consider we are Kent or Kentish.

We are a village of our very own identity and mixed ethnic people. Often it's now also overlooked, disregarded or not understood by political parties, local council, media, papers or other people.

In creating this website I am also finding other areas of growing interest, local clubs, organisations, churches, schools, even it's history, past and personalities. There is so much about our village that many do not know of. In doing this I hope residents, council and other people of interest might read and also understand.

As the site grows I am looking for local people, traders, or residents whom might be interested in helping. I am sure there are many of you reading this who either run various organisations, clubs, forums, groups, churches, youth activities, local events  or even have such interests as, hobbies, artists, painters, poets, writers, whatever your interests are.

The idea I have is a group of people joining together, maybe meeting, talking, discussing anything of their interests. Some may even be interested in actively adding to the site.

Young, old, any age you may be I am looking for. Often people as we grow older have memories of the past, photos, papers in your house of interest. Dont lose them or let them be lost from others. Send them to me, I will insert on this site.

Any youths or teenagers of the community on the heath, express your opinions, thoughts, interests, anything you may like to be seen here. You are our future, it is your village as you grow or live here.

Anyone with a opinion, complaint or would like to see or be seen done on or for our village. Express it here.

Come on let's all help make our village better, cleaner, healthier, grow and become ours again.
