Today Bexley Council Services and Community Payback Team removed and cleared also cleaned all of the areas but for couple of items which are responsibility of Shop Owners. We now have a new clear alleyway. My letters of thanks have been sent to all concerned whom helped and spent much time doing so.
Progress being made slowly aboiut the possibility of organising the erection of alleygates to both ends of the alley leading from Limewood Road to the alleyway leading through to Bexley Road. Letters delivered to residents of 26 to 86 Hurst Road seeking interested persons of obtaining the gates and all being involved. I am awaiting the returns. So far 12 have agreed and answered yes.
Councillor Brenda Langstead whom I have spoken to has also contacted the Bexley Council about the alleyways progress. Further details been obtained and received about the situation. and e-mail received from her. My thanks to her.

I have today received a e-mail from the local Councillor Mr Alex Sawyer informing me that he will be soon dealing and speaking to persons concerned of my repeated requests for the removal and also clearance of the Hurst Road alleyways, rubbish, tipping, as what may be done or even to be also considered possible to alleviate the situation. I hope it will be placed under Heath, Safety, Hygiene Laws. My thanks to him.
On Wednesday April 1st at 7pm a Neighbourhood Policing meeting congregated at the corner of Limewood Road and Hurst Road. 2 officers and about roughly 16 interested residents of Hurst Road were in attendance. Many fears and various suggestions then were put forward by local individuals. Agreed by the two officers that these would be looked into. Shame so few residents attended from Hurst Road.
It is great seeing as the credit crunch is having so many effects throughout the area and country that a new shop Bellique Fashion is opening in the long vacant shop premises at 232 Bexley Road. Good Luck.
